Professional information
Craig Werkheiser received his formal education from the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design in Lancaster PA, where he placed 2nd in the Senior Class Exhibit for illustration. Craig’s main body of work consists of Acrylic Pet Portraits, but he also enjoys Landscapes and Fantasy Art. He has done several Portraits for Weddings, Portraits of Pets and of Children for their adoring Families.
Craig is presently a commissioned freelance illustrator and always striving to improve his craft.

Artist Statement
My subject matter is nature and wildlife, whether it is a traditional landscape or a lioness painting. I use traditional materials, pastels and watercolors blended on pastelmat, to captivate my audience. — making marks on paper in just the right value, in just the right color, in just the right hue, in just the right place, at just the right time to bring animals people, and nature to life.
